Scholarships in France

France is a hotspot for international students as the tuition fee at Public Universities is very inexpensive around €200-€600. But France also has some excellent Private Universities and their tuition fee can be very expensive, around €10,000. Fortunately, there are some French scholarships that are being offered to international students.

Government Funded Scholarships

Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence

This scholarship is sponsored by French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Only international students that are not more than 30 years old are enrolled in a master's or Ph.D. program. The French higher education submits these applications on behalf of applicants selected by their institutes.

The Charpak Scholarship Programme

This scholarship is offered by the French Government specifically for Indian students. This program is run by the Embassy of France in India; it offers scholarships at Bachelor's, Master's level, and Doctorate level. The beneficiary gets 700€/month for living expenses, Fee waiver up to 5000€ and it also waives off Student visa fees. To be eligible for this program candidate must not be older than 30, should have studied at an Indian Institute of higher learning.

Non-Government Funded Scholarships

AIFS (American Institute for Foreign Study) Study Abroad Scholarships, Grants & Financial Support

AIFS is an American program that got started in 1964 and has been one of the leading providers of educational opportunities and cultural exchange for 1.5 million+ students. In order to get this scholarship, the applicant has to pass certain academic requirements. This scholarship is available for international students for higher education.

École Normale Supérieure International Selection

ENS offers scholarships to 30 of the most promising international students, out of these 30 positions, 10 are reserved for Science, and 10 are reserved for Arts & Humanities. To get a scholarship from ENS you should be under 26(at the time of applying), you should’ve completed your undergraduate degree for at least 2 years. The beneficiaries of this scholarship gain a grant of 1000€/month for 2-3 years depending upon the course duration.
