Germany, one of the few countries that offer tuition-free education at their Universities, regardless of the nationality it applies to both domestic as well as international students. Germany stands very high on the Human Development Index, it is the largest economy in Europe, offers social security, it even has a health care system and ranks on the top when it comes to Higher education at minimal or no cost at all, so basically it becomes really appealing for students worldwide.

    A student can work up to 20 hours/week while studying. Plus, a student can earn up to €450/month tax-free. If your income exceeds €450, you’ll receive an income tax number and the taxes would be automatically deducted from your salary.

  • 5. Work-Life after Graduating

    Students who wish to work in Germany after finishing their education have an option to extend their permit for up to 18 months to find work related to their studies. One can apply for an EU Blue Card (similar to US Green Card).

  • 6. Health Care

    Germany probably has one of the best HealthCare systems in the world, treatment is immediate and patients aren’t required to pay upfront. Healthcare is taken very seriously in Germany. The German Law requires everyone to have health insurance, it is considered an essential requirement in order to be granted a study visa for Germany. Also, Students under 30 can register for a discounted public health care system.

  • 7. Immigration possibilities in Germany

    Germany has an immigrant program for non-EU citizens. One is eligible to apply for a Settlement Permit post completion of their education as a graduate from Germany, provided you’ve worked in Germany for 2 years after receiving the Blue Card.
