Poland - officially the Republic of Poland is a country located in Central Europe. It is divided into 16 administrative provinces, covering an area of 312,696 square kilometres. With a population of nearly 38.5 million people, Poland is the fifth most populous member state of the European Union. Contrary to popular belief, Poland is actually a very large country. It is the 9th largest country in Europe and is bigger than Italy and Greece. Poland's capital and largest metropolis is Warsaw. A land of striking beauty, Poland is punctuated by great forests and rivers, broad plains, and tall mountains. Warsaw – also the country’s capital combines modern buildings with historic architecture.

The economy of Poland is an industrialized, mixed economy and a highly developed market. Poland is classified as a high-income economy by the World Bank and ranks 22nd worldwide in terms of GDP (nominal) as well as 40th in the 2020 Ease of Doing Business Index. Polish National Police statistics underscore that Poland continues to be one of the safest countries in Europe.

Climate

Poland has a moderate climate with both maritime and continental elements. The overall climate of Poland has a highly variable character. Primarily six different climatic conditions can be observed in the country of Poland namely –
