It is hard to determine a fixed amount for tuition fees since it is highly dependent on the institution, the program, the place and the course duration. New Zealand Immigration requires each student to keep an amount of 15,000 NZ$ per annum as Living cost in New Zealand. The major expenses included in this amount are the Rent, Groceries, Entertainment and so on.

If a student wishes to pursue a full-time course in New Zealand for a period longer than 3 months, he/she must acquire a student visa. The student visa process is quicker, cheaper and more convenient when it is done online.

A student visa holder pursuing a full-time degree in New Zealand can work up to 20 hours per week during the course and full-time (40 hours per week) during holidays. A Research Masters or Ph.D student is permitted to work full-time during the course as well as during holidays.

Students can apply for a Post-Study Work Permit of up to 3 years depending on their qualification. After finding a job, the student can get an extension of a period of up to 2 years.
