1. Universities of Applied Science and Academies(Fachhochschule )	Institutions that come under these offer bachelors, and master's programs in various subjects of study, like academics of art, music, design, technology, etc.
2. University (Universität)	A University in Germany offers degree programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Also, they can bestow Ph.D. candidates and State Exam students.
3. State Exam (Staatsexamen)	Medical, Law and Teaching degrees require a State Exam. The concept of the State Exam in Germany is very similar to the State Exam in America. State Exams can be different for every state or territory in Germany.
