  • 4. Small Liberal Arts Colleges:

    These colleges offer courses in humanities, social sciences and sciences. Usually available at an undergraduate level, these bodies have smaller classes and focus on individual attention. Some examples are Swarthmore, Manhattan and Amherst.

  • 5. Technical Colleges:

    These colleges offer programs in engineering, science and research programs. They are attended by graduate level students with a strong background in maths and science. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), California Polytechnic Institute, Georgia Institute of Technology are some examples under this category.

  • 6. Community Colleges:

    These colleges offer certificates, diplomas, associate degrees and lower tertiary education. Some examples are De Anza College and Bellevue Community College.
