The county has 18,500+ students from non-EEA countries, and the government is committed to supporting students and has invested 11.1 billion EUR in education in 2020. To attract international students they've opened up hundreds of scholarship and funding programs for international students.

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship

This scholarship is granted for 1-year study at Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. levels. 60 scholarships are granted every year. A stipend of €10,000 is allowed for 1 year of study.

The Walsh Fellowship

This scholarship is granted for 2-year study at an MSc course and a 4-year Ph.D. program at max. Applicants are supposed to apply before September. This scholarship does not include non-research postgraduate programs.

Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship

The Department of Education of education and Skills grants this scholarship which is managed by the Council. This scholarship has been a gateway for a lot of international students to pursue their research in Masters, Ph.D., or Direct Ph.D.
