Employment in Poland

Employment Opportunity

International students have the right to work while studying in Poland as long as they are enrolled in an institution. The right to work applies to all students, including those who are in Poland for the first time, those who are enrolled in the first year of a university program, and those who are enrolled full-time in a language school. 20 hours of work is permitted during studies as well as 3 months of full time work during holidays. However, full time work is permitted only for Residence Card holders. The students may earn anywhere between 16-35 Polish Zloty an hour.

If you belong to any other country except countries including in European Economic Area or European Union, you must apply for a long-term visa through Polish embassy or consulate. For this, the enrolment certificate is essential. The visa is valid only for 1 year. Though the validity can be renewed in a local administrative office, this visa allows only 3 months of stay-back period in Poland. If you want to extend the period of your stay and need a Post Study visa in Poland, the only way you have is to apply for a residence permit.
