According to the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore, international students on a Student Pass in Singapore are eligible to work part-time for about 16 hours a week during term and for unlimited hours during vacation, given that they fulfil the prerequisites.

Here are some part time jobs options for an International student in Singapore:

  • Data-entry Operator: If you have good typing skills, this may be one of the best part-time job options for you.
  • Kitchen staff in restaurants: These jobs offer a good pay and are generally labour intensive.
  • Interpreter/ Translator: If you know a foreign language and have a decent proficiency in it, you can avail part-time work as a translator or an interpreter.
  • On-Campus Jobs: It is important to check for job vacancies on campus since the universities offer a range of part-time opportunities such as library work, books auditor.

The pay depends on the nature of your work and you may also be eligible some extra incentives from your employer. International students in Singapore are normally able to earn anywhere between 1000 to 2500 SAD a month.

In order to be eligible to apply for the Employment Pass you must earn a minimum of 4500 SAD per month and have acceptable qualifications.
