According to the National University of Singapore an International student may spend an average of 10,400 SGD on living expenses. This can be called as a CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE as it does not take into consideration the vacation period.

So here is a basic breakdown of different means of entertainment which might include a meal out with friends, a coffee or even a movie. An international student must account for 300-500 SGD of cost per month as Entertainment expense.

MISCELLANOUS EXPENSES:

In addition to the above mentioned expenses, a student may need to keep aside a sum of money for books and stationary, internet and phone bills and so on.

The Internet costs approximately 40 SGD per month while the cost of books might come down to nearly 200 SGD per month. Call rate/minute for Prepaid Calls is 0.2 SGD. A visit to the doctor’s clinic may cost a minimum of 20 SGD.
