Not all State Boards grades are accepted for undergraduate admission in the UK. Universities accept the most common high school qualifications such as A-levels, International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placements as well as other similar education systems to the UK. If a student’s high school qualification is not regarded as an equivalent to any of the following, they will have to complete a one-year foundation course before being able to apply for undergraduate studies.

For postgraduate studies, every university may have varied academic requirements depending on the course and subject chosen. However, a minimum of 6.5/10 or equivalent is an academic prerequisite when applying to almost any degree.
