Application Prerequisites

To continue your education in Canada you must plan ahead, a year ahead to be specific. It is important to consider the correct course in the most suited university keeping in mind several aspects such as cost of living and tuition fees.

Canadian education institutions require certification in English Proficiency even if the applicant has been a student of an English-speaking school/college.

*Undergraduate score no less than 5.5 bands in each module

  • Academic Prerequisites:

    • Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate programmes: higher second class in their HSC examination (or equivalent)
    • Postgraduate certificate or Diploma:higher second class in the bachelor’s course of three or four years
    • Bachelor’s degree: first class in HSC examination (or equivalent)
    • Master’s degree: : 65-70% (or 75-78% for top universities) in bachelor’s degree of four years with added emphasis on the last two years; if the course is for three years, a one-year master’s degree is required - however, some universities consider 15 years of education as well
  • Additional prerequisites for a Master’s degree include:

    • GMAT/GRE score, depending on the chosen university and course
    • Work experience of 1 – 3 years if pursuing MS in Business Management, MS Finance, MS Business Analytics
    • Bachelor’s degree: first class in HSC examination (or equivalent)
    • A Master’s program taught in French(say in the Quebec province), will need Test d’évaluation de français (TEF) or Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF) certificate
